I was sitting in a sauna in plastic swim shorts, and so was everyone else.
Soaked, clinging, in a ninety degree room. It was obviously the wrong material for the room, and nobody made the right one.
So I'm making it. Amuro is a sauna short built from the fabric up: an organic cotton waffle shell, a Tencel liner and a pouch that holds a cold pack.

Built from the fabric up
That's a sample of the shell laid flat on a beach: organic cotton waffle knit, a drawstring and nothing metal on it. The waffle structure holds the fabric off itself, so air and moisture keep moving instead of collapsing into a wet sheet against you.
Inside is a soft liner of Tencel lyocell, a fibre made from wood pulp. A hidden pouch sits over the area that needs it, with fabric between the pack and your skin at all times.

A sauna is one of the few rooms where nobody can reach you.
Phone outside, slow breathing, nothing to get done. That's the part I care about most. The shorts are there so the heat is the only thing you notice.
